Samaire Rhys Armstrong is an American actress and fashion designer who spent her early childhood in Japan before moving to Hawaii and eventually settling in Arizona. Raised by a creative mother and a military instructor father, she developed a passion for performance at a young age. After participating in local theatre programs during her youth, she pursued acting professionally and landed her first television roles in the early 2000s on shows like Party of Five and Freaks and Geeks.

Her career gained significant momentum when she was cast as the quirky, stylish Anna Stern on the hit teen drama series The O.C.
