Brec Marie Bassinger is
an American actress who first discovered her love for performing
through natural beauty pageants during her childhood in Saginaw,
Texas. Growing up as a versatile athlete, she participated in
competitive cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, and track and field.
Driven by her passion for performance, she began taking acting classes
as a child and relocated to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of
13 to professionally pursue her career.
She quickly gained widespread recognition as a teenager when she
landed the leading role of Bella Dawson in the Nickelodeon comedy
series Bella and the Bulldogs. Her career continued to ascend as she
transitioned into more mature roles, most notably starring as Courtney
Whitmore in the critically acclaimed superhero series Stargirl. Her
compelling portrayal of the titular DC character earned her
significant industry recognition, including winning two consecutive
Saturn Awards for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Television
Series.
In addition to her extensive television success, Bassinger has
established a strong presence in film across various genres. She made
her feature film debut in the survival horror 47 Meters Down: Uncaged
and later starred in the independent thriller The Man in the White
Van. More recently, she reached a new career milestone by starring in
the supernatural horror film Final Destination: Bloodlines, which
achieved critical praise and became her highest-grossing cinematic
