Born and raised in Los
Angeles, California, Xochitl Gomez discovered her passion for
performance at a very young age. She began taking youth musical
theatre classes when she was just five years old, quickly falling in
love with the stage. Guided by her supportive family, she spent years
balancing regular school with grueling daily schedules, often
attending multiple auditions in a single afternoon. By the time she
was twelve, she had already performed in over twenty full-length stage
musicals and numerous local short films.
Gomez successfully transitioned into professional on-screen roles by
landing small parts in prominent television series such as Raven's
Home and Gentefied. Her first major career breakthrough came in 2020
when she starred as the eco-conscious Dawn Schafer in the first season
of Netflix's acclaimed comedy series The Baby-Sitters Club. Her
endearing performance captured widespread audience praise and
spotlighted her as an exceptionally talented rising star in Hollywood.
Her career ascended to global heights when she joined the Marvel
Cinematic Universe as the dimension-hopping superhero America Chavez
in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She underwent intense
martial arts and stunt training for the demanding role, earning
stellar reviews for her blockbuster debut. Continuing to expand her
