American actress and producer Camila Mendes was raised primarily in Florida by Brazilian parents, moving frequently during her youth and spending a year living in Brazil. Developing an early passion for performing, she pursued formal training in theatre and playwriting, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Directly following her college graduation, she secured her career-defining television role as Veronica Lodge on the CW's teen drama series Riverdale. Her portrayal of the sophisticated comic-book character spanned seven seasons, establishing her as a prominent figure in television and earning her industry accolades.
